This e-learning module equips personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to safely inspect, operate, and clean powered pallet trucks (PPTs). Widely used across industries for efficient heavy-load transport, PPTs require authorised and trained operators to ensure workplace safety.

This instruction focuses on critical safety aspects of both the PPT and the operating environment.

• Pre-Operational Inspection: Trainees learn to meticulously inspect all PPT components, ensuring proper functionality.
• Operation: This section focuses on safety during PPT operation, educating individuals on best practices to ensure the well-being of the operator and those nearby.
• Cleaning: Trainees gain knowledge on effective PPT cleaning practices, guaranteeing the vehicle is in optimal condition for each use.

• Identify and explain key components of a PPT.
• Demonstrate proper pre-operational inspection procedures.
• Apply safe operating practices for PPTs.
• Implement effective cleaning and maintenance techniques.

The module concludes with a knowledge assessment in the form of a quiz. This assessment utilises a variety of question formats, including multiple-choice, scenario-based, and drag-and-drop questions.

This e-learning module was developed with Storyline 360, ensuring accessibility across desktops, tablets, and smartphones. We also used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro for image and video editing.

This project involved collaboration with e-learning developers, instructional designers, IT professionals, subject matter experts, and on-the-job trainers. I coordinated with team members and led the development process, ensuring the successful completion of the e-learning module.

The main challenge was balancing PPT operation coverage with a strong emphasis on safety. The objective was to ensure learners acquired the necessary safety knowledge before engaging in a practical session with the vehicle.

The e-learning module proved to be a successful training tool. It effectively instructed personnel on all key aspects of the powered pallet truck, including inspection, operation, and cleaning. Feedback from learners and stakeholders confirmed the module's effectiveness in delivering critical safety information and operational procedures, leading to improved safety and efficiency in the workplace.
